Louis Szathmary was the chef and owner of famous Chicago restaurant, The Bakery. (We usually have his cookbook, The Bakery, here at Vintage Cookbook.) In The Chef's Secret Cook Book, at the end of each recipe he gives the little tricks, details, etc., that enable the cook to make the recipe successfully. Published by Quadrangle Books, Chicago, in 1972. First edition, fourth printing. Hard cover with dust jacket. 288 pages. Dust jacket is a bit tanned. Book itself is in mint condition.
