When I began looking for old cookbooks, I was astonished at the numbers and types of people who wrote them. I mean, a television weatherman? However, it turns out, most of the "unlikely" people writing cookbooks can write a darn good one. And, Willard Scott's is an excellent example. This is a chatty cookbook, with lots of information about people, chefs and restauants, but most of all full of terrific recipes. New York: Macmillian, 1986. Hardback 180 pp. Mint with dust jacket. (Marked down from $38.00.)
