First edition of James Beard's Menus for Entertaining, published in 1965 by Delacorte Press, New York. Menus (and recipes, of course) for breakfasts, luncheons, dinners, buffets, cocktail parties, outdoor entertaining, and celebrations (holidays.) Special sections for ladies only affairs, summer dinners, dinners to prepare, alcoholic beverages, etc. I've heard that people find James Beard's recipes are too difficult, but these seem to me to be clearly and crisply written. Hard cover, moderately oversized, 398 pages. This is an expensively published book, with thick paper, many end papers, etc. You'll enjoy it. Dust jacket went to a war, but the book is in fine condition.
