One of the nicest copies we've ever had! 1947 or 28th edition of The Settlement Cook Book, compiled by Mrs. Simon Kander, with tested recipes from the Milwauke Public School Kitchens. Originally published by the Settlement Cook Book Co., Milwaukee, Wis. 623 pp. Everything from how to build a camp fire and stew rabbits (!) to "Ices, Frappes and Sherbets in Mechanical Refrigerators." While a few pages have a few light marks and spots, this copy has an almost mint cover and binding. Very difficult to find.
