Frankly, I'm not quite sure how this book became one of the most sought-after cookbooks in America, but it is! Purefoy Hotel Cook Book: True and Tried Recipes of Real Southern Cooking, by Eva B. Purefoy, owner of the Purefoy Hotel, Talladega Alabama, in 1938. This is the 1960 edition, Published privately by Roberts and Son, Birmingham, Alabama. Spiral bound, card- board cover, 79 pages. Nearly as-new condition. Some very light soil on the cover.
