Harlequin Mask Cookie or Wafer from Simply Elegant: Cuisine of the Windsor Court Hotel: One great–and decorative–recipe from Simply Elegant: Cuisine of the Windsor Court Hotel.
You bet! We have the cookbook. See it here: https://www.vintagecookbook.com/product/simply-elegant-cuisine-windsor-court-hotel-1991-first-edition-first-printing/
Simply Elegant: Cuisine of the Windsor Court Hotel, 1991, First Edition, First Printing: Cookbook by Chef Kevin Graham of the Grill Room, Windsor Court Hotel, New Orleans, on the banks of the Mississippi. Mint condition book and dust jacket, with the fly leaf signed by the author. Published by Grove Weidenfeld, New York, in 1991. 256 pages. Stunning food photography by Jerry Simpson.
Many of these recipes are the very definition of elegant, and most of them seem possible to make without a household staff. The desserts, especially, sound wonderful.. How about Praline Brulee, Frozen Burnt Orange Souffle, Bourbon Whiskey Souffle, Chocolate Breathless (layers of meringue and chocolate mousse,) or Cats’ Tongues (layers of wafer and raspberry jam dipped in chocolate.)
Again, both book and dust jacket in mint condition. Definitely gift quality. See that stunning harlequin mask cookie or wafer on the cover of the book? See VintageCookbook’s Recipe department for that recipe!
