Originally published by the Settlement Cook Book Co., Milwaukee, Wis. 596 pp. This is the cookbook with “The way to a man’s heart” at the top of the front cover. Everything from how to build a camp fire and stew rabbits (!) to “Ices, Frappes and Sherbets in Mechanical Refrigerators.” This copy was published in 1931, the nineteenth edition, revised and enlarged from the first edition, published in 1910. First printing of the nineteenth edition. Still has its dust jacket–in excellent vintage condition, now safely encased in Mylar. The book is in mint condition. The pages are all clean and clear, and binding is perfect! About ten pages of fun advertising. Wonderful gift!
